We're a friendly group and welcome beginners, returners and seasoned players alike. Most of our members live in Merton and surrounding boroughs, but if you can make most rehearsals we don't mind where you live! We have a wide range of instruments, including those not usually found in a symphony orchestra, which adds fresh textures and colour to our sound. We play a lively mix of music from Bach to Broadway and everything in-between. Don't worry about the level you play at - there are no auditions and our MD tailors the scores to suit our players. We do a few performances a year, often raising funds for local community groups or charities and also have some small ensembles i.e. recorders, saxophones and strings that Orchestra members can be part of. Our first rehearsal is free so get in touch if you want to come along and try us out!
Visit us anytime!
All our rehearsals are open to potential new members and the first rehearsal is free.
We rehearse every Tuesday evening at 8pm during term-time at Merton Vision, The Guardian Centre, 67 Clarendon Road, SW19 2DX
If you'd like to try us out, please email us at chair@cworchestra.org.uk and we'll arrange for you to come along!
